Practical Sessions

During this workshop there are numerous practical demonstrations, including:
› RS-485 basics
› Serial Protocol Analyser
› Modbus serial operation: RTU mode
› Protocol analysis on Ethernet network
› Modbus/TCP operation
› Configuration of IP addresses and subnet masks 
› Use of Ethernet protocol analyser (Wireshark)
› Ping, Arp, Netstat, Tracert and route commands
› Operation of Modbus/TCP to serial communication gateway

Versions of the above are available as online practicals for the students to investigate after the live sessions 

Students are given a practical guide with instructions how to access the remote labs and appropriate exercises to undertake.
